Paths & Passages
A distinction between paths and passages should be made. The path has several meanings. In computer lingo, the term is defined as
path:
"In DOS and Windows systems, a path is a list of directories where the operating system looks for executable files if it is unable to find the file in the working directory. You can specify the list of directories with the PATH command." <http://www.webopedia.com/>
